The engagement shoot gives me the opportunity to have some fun with you, and get to know you before your big day.  During the shoot I take note of how you interact with each other, your individual personalities, and even your quirks. These mental notes, help me to capture and photograph images on your wedding day which are unique to you.

An engagement shoot typically takes 45 minutes to an hour at a location of your choice... or one I recommend.  This location could be the place where you got engaged or had your first date. It could be a place where you both like to spend time, or something you like to do together. My clients have invited me to their hometowns, the university where they met, parks, hockey and curling stadiums, favorite restaurants, museums and their homes.  You may feel more at ease in an environment you are familiar with.   If you have children, pets, or a vehicle you want to include - be sure to bring them/it along.

The engagement shoot may also be an opportunity for a hair and makeup test. This way you get to see how your hair and makeup look in photos and you can let your stylist know if there is anything you would like to change.

If the engagement shoot location is further than 80km from Almonte (eg: Toronto) the client is responsible for travel & accommodation costs.   Usually clients call me on a Thursday or Friday (once we know what the weather will be like), to book an engagement shoot for the following Sunday.

If you would like to book just an engagement shoot, the cost is $395 for:

• One hour shoot at a location of your choice

• 20-30  High Resolution Images presented on CD with reproduction rights to make additional copies

• Two 8x12" photographs
